Roger Donaldson
Roger Donaldson is the director of Lawyers. A native Australian, his early success with documentaries in New Zealand led him to direct Sleeping Dogs, a full-length feature that was the first film to be produced in New Zealand in almost 15 years. Throughout his career Donaldson has directed many highly regarded films including, Nutcase, The Bounty and his first U.S. film, Marie, based on the true story of a whistle-blower who exposed corruption in the Tennessee parole system. This film was soon followed by successful films featuring A-list actors such as Al Pacino, Gene Hackman, Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Robin Williams, Tim Robbins and many others. These films include, No Way Out, Cocktail, Cadillac Man, White Sands, The Getaway, Species, Dante’s Peak, Thirteen Days, The Recruit, The World’s Fastest Indian, and The Bank Job.
